Texas Investment Portfolio Symposium
The Texas Investment Portfolio Symposium (or TIPS), now in its 12th year, is a forum for students, faculty and staff from Texas, Louisiana, & Oklahoma universities with an investment management curriculum.
On Saturday, February 21, 2015, Texas Lutheran University was represented by Arthur Munoz (Schertz), Kelli Gohmert (Yorktown) and Ernest Stephenson (Hitchcock). The event was hosted at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business.
The Bulldog Investment Company team was one of five finalists (out of 40+ universities participating) for the Texas Investment Portfolio Symposium’s “Portfolio Manager Competition.”
The Portfolio Manager Competition requires each team to outline, in under ten minutes, their portfolio team, structure, process and performance as if they were making a proposal for investment management services to a panel of judges—all of whom are active professional money managers. At the end of each presentation the judges drill down into the presentations asking detailed questions.
Texas Lutheran University placed Second,
beating the University of Dallas, Tulane University, and Rice University.
